Hello, my name is Theresa Akers and I am available for a number of freelance services including technical writing, copy-editing, proofreading and online help file production. I am self-employed and I work from home at very reasonable charge-out rates. No project is too small. I am happy to take on larger projects if the specification and terms are tight and right!

My most recent experience has been the completion of several projects for a local software engineering company whose main product is an automotive design and analysis software package. I was responsible for the development and continuous review of their software training manual, installation guides and software user guide. All customer documentation was provided in a fully hyperlinked PDF format. I also updated their online help files and technology knowledge bases which were integrated into their commercial software releases.

Other projects that I have undertaken include: review and editing of technical case studies and conference paper submissions; assembly and review of technical consultancy project deliverables for business clients; and production of marketing posters for overseas trade fair displays. I have received consistently positive feedback for all work completed to date.
